Two nights ago our 5 kids cozied up in our room with their quilts and sleeping bags’¦it’s quite amazing when u get all 5 kids together and realize that all of them are yours. You remember each of them as a baby and look at them with all the love and affection inside, seeing them grow up is one of the most rewarding experiences in this world. There was a time in each of their early lives that I felt ‘this kid will never get potty trained’ or ‘gosh I must be failing my kids is already 3 and can’t read’. What I’ve learned is that they all eventually, in their own time, learn to go to the potty, to read, to share and learn all those things us parents and teachers pour into them day after day. Nothing given is ever wasted.
