We had a lot of fun building a hut this summer. The walls are mainly constructed of 2×4″ beams, and it has a dirt floor. We used store-bought corrugated roofing sheets for a watertight roof.
During the warm weather, the boys have been using it as a clubhouse, but during the cold weather we will use it for wintering our rabbits and as a woodshed. This was a project the children and I worked on together, and it was a source of a lot of good parent time, besides providing us with a needed outside building.
