If you right click on the pictures you can save them and print them out for your globe.
You need:
cut-out continent shapes (attached)
9-inch blue balloon
scissors and glue stick
a thick, black, permanent marker
a globe or world map (for reference)

Directions: 1. Blow up and knot the balloon.
2. Cut out the continent shapes.
3. With the marker, draw the equator around the fattest part of the balloon.
4. Hold the balloon with the knot on top. Glue Antarctica to the bottom of the balloon.
5. Find the part of Antarctica that points out like a finger. This is the Antarctica Peninsula. Glue South America above the Antactica Peninsula. South America touches the equator.
6. Glue North America above South America. North America touches South America.
7. Put your hand on North America. Asia is exactly on the other side of the balloon globe. Glue Asia-Europe so that it is almost entirely above the equator.
8. Africa is below Europe. It almost touches Europe. Find the top part of west Africa that juts out like an elbow. The equator should be below this elbow.
9. Glue Australia below the eastern part of Asia.
10. Put an X on the map to mark where you live.
