Penn Foster is an accredited online college program that offers Associates and Bachelor’s Degrees. If you are interested in Early Childhood Education (birth-8 years or 3rd grade) they offer only Associates and if you wanted to take your studies further in this field you would need to transfer your credits to a different college once you have received your associates.
Penn Foster College is designed especially for busy people who would need to study in their own time, with the choice to do everything online, in print, or in combination. There are four semesters you would need to complete to get your Associates in Early Childhood Education. Before taking the course you would need to complete a very basic Math and Reading Assessment. At the end of each semester, students must take a proctored examination for each course in the semester, which is an exam/test with a supervisor, someone who has an Associate’s and is approved by Penn Foster. This can range from a friend to a librarian, lawyer, or doctor you know.

There are a few different ways in how you can finance online college programs, so don’t just see the total and think that it’s not possible for you, where there is a will, there’s a way. And if the Lord does lead you to take a course, then He will supply the means and the way. Hope this is a help to give you more options of what is out there. This is not the all-in-all college program and there are many more out there if you look around, this is what I’ve found from experience working with this specific program. Please do take the time to carefully research what it would mean for you and what you are trying to accomplish through using their program.
