Well, I’ve decided to hold a contest to see if I can find the Super Mom of the world. So here are our contestants.
Contestant number one:
My mom. To me she’s about the best mother there is. After raising nine rambunctious and often very loud children instead of retiring my mother has gone into full time high school teaching which takes up almost all her time. Believe me getting all us kids to sit down and study is more work than trying to carry a two ton elephant. Personally I think that’s a lot of work for a forty something year old women to be doing. But she does it day in and day out without a complaint. I think that’s what I would call a super mom.
Contestant number two:
Then there’s my sister-in-law. She’s barely even twenty eight and she already has almost (as in seven months pregnant) six kids. Whew!!! That’s a lot of kids for one person to have. But she doesn’t complain but simply trudges on. Even though there are mountains of laundry to do, diapers to be changed, and tears to be dried. She almost takes it on as if it’s a badge of honor to have so many kids. She loves her kids, thinks of exciting things to do with them, and tries to add spice to parent times that are often spent without daddy home because he’s a full time driver for our Missionary base. To tell you the truth I think she deserves a medal of honor for being the great mother that she is. All hail super mom Joan.
Contestant number Three:
Jo is a mother to six children. She’s a full time outreacher and is gone most weekends. She has three of her kids with her and does her best to be both father and mother to two growing teenagers and one younger child (nine years old). But she does it without complaint although at times she wishes she could be home a bit more. After a long day out witnessing and fund raising instead of coming home and crashing she stays up and plays games, talks, and spends time with her kids. To me she’s one of those really super moms.
But it’s hard to pick a super mom because almost every mother out there who has had kids or is going to have kids is a worthy winner. Every mom is a super mom because they all give everything for their kids. They give their lives to their kids, they give up free time, sleep, and so so so much more. All I can say is “Go super moms!”
THE END.
